Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has uncovered a dump site used in storing stolen crude oil and illegally refined petroleum products in Ikwerre local Government Area of the State.
The State Commandant, Michael Ogar said the site was uncovered by the Command’s Anti-vandal Unit following credible information.
Ogar added that the four persons working in the dump site including the gate-keeper and supervisor were arrested.
President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in Olukayode Ariwoola as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria. The swearing-in ceremony took place before the kick-off of this week’s Federal Executive Council meeting. Speaking after his swearing in, Ariwoola, urged politicians vying for various electoral offices in next year’s elections to allow the judiciary to function properly.
