Osun Governor Assents Bill to Upgrade State College of Education

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has assented to bill seeking to upgrade the State College of Education, Ilesa to a full-fledged University.

Speaking shortly after assenting to the law, Oyetola revealed that the decision of the government to upgrade the College to a university was not a product of fanciful effort.

He stressed that the proposed university has been carefully conceived as an entrepreneurial and innovative institution.

The Governor added that it would be funded by the government, community, industry, and other stakeholders without exerting unnecessary pressure on the finances of the State.
