INEC Warns Political Parties Against Violence

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has warns political parties to avoid violence during the 2023 election.

INEC Chairman, Mahmud Yakubu, who was represented by the National Commissioner, Festus Okoye, gave the warning at a workshop in Lagos State.

Yakubu warned that the commission would do everything within its power to ensure that the 2023 general election is free, fair and credible.

The Chairman charged Candidates and their supporters, as well as the media to operate within the confines of the law and the provisions of the commission’s regulations and guidelines.
