Ohanaeze Calls for Resignation of INEC Chairman

The Apex Igbo Socio-Political Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has said the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, is not competent to conduct free, fair, and credible elections in 2023.

Secretary-General of the Organization, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to get rid of Yakubu amid allegations made by Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP.

Isiguzoro noted that evidence confirmed that the Chairman has endangered and compromised his office with the level of falsification leveled against him.

The Secretary-General implored the INEC Boss to tow the path of honor and resign honorably or be sacked and interrogated by the relevant agencies for the manipulation and distortions of Voters register in line with the laws of the land.
