Cross River Government Warns Against Sale of Adulterated Palm Oil

Cross River State Government has warned palm oil sellers’ to desist from coloring palm oil.

Director General of the State Commodity and Quality Control Board, Ogbiji Nyiam, disclosed this during an emergency meeting with commodity operators, merchants and local buying agents in Calabar, the state capital.

Nyiam noted that the colorings used to make the product appearance appealing are hazardous to health.

He reiterated that the production of agricultural commodities must be protected and safe for consumption.
