Court Nullifies Ebonyi Local Government Election

A Federal High Court, sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, has nullified the recently conducted local government area election.

In his ruling, the presiding judge, Rilman Fatun, ruled that the local government election, which held on July 30, 2022, contradicted the provisions of the 2022 Electoral Act.

Justice Fatun, stated that the election was undemocratic, unlawful, and shrouded in secrecy.
