Japan Eases Pandemic Border Controls

Japan has announced an easing of the Country’s strict pandemic-related border restrictions.

The Country’s Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, who made the announcement on Wednesday, said a requirement for a negative coronavirus test taken within 72 hours of departure would be lifted from September 7, 2022.

Kishida disclosed that that no decision has been made on raising a cap on inbound passengers.
