Obasanjo Calls for Diaspora Voting

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called for the country to adopt diaspora voting.

Obasanjo made the remark when the Chairman Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM Abike Dabiri-Erewa paid him a courtesy call in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

According to him, the National Assembly should amend the country’s laws to make room for Nigerians abroad to vote during elections.

Reacting, the NIDCOM boss lauded Obasanjo for the move to get Nigerians to coordinate their activities under the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisations, NIDO.
