Military Pensions Board Begins Payment of Arrears

The Military Pensions Board has said it has commenced the payment of the third tranche of the owed 24 months arrears of minimum wage to over 90,000 retired Military Personnel.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Board Chairman, Saburi Lawal, on Thursday.

The statement noted that all Next-of-Kin of deceased Military Pensioners entitled to the arrears had been fully paid.

It therefore advised all concerned military pensioners to contact their banks for their entitlements.

Plateau Government Revoke Licenses to Schools

Plateau State government has revoked the licenses of all Nursery, Primary, and Secondary Schools in the State. State Commissioner for Education, Elizabeth Wampum, disclosed this at a press conference in Jos, the State Capital. Wampum said the decision was taken after it was discovered that 5,000 Private Schools were operating without a license.
