Peru’s Prime Minister Anibal Torres has resigned.

In his resignation letter, Torres, said he was resigning due to personal reasons.

His resignation comes amid widening criminal investigation focused on the nation’s president, Pedro Castillo.

Castillo, has overseen unprecedented turnover in senior government posts during his administration.
