Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has unveiled the State’s Security Outfit known as Community Volunteer Guards.
Ortom, during the passing out parade of the new recruits in Makurdi, the State Capital, pledged that his administration would legally procure sophisticated weapons for the Group.
The Governor revealed that his administration decided to constitute the Security Outfit due to the failure of the Federal government to disarm the Herder Farmers.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has promised that the various projects ongoing in Obio/Akpor and Port-Harcourt Local Government Areas of the State will create employment for the Youths in the Areas. Wike stated this when he visited the ongoing construction of the 11th and 12th flyovers in the State. The Governor noted that the impact of the projects would improve the socio-economic life of residents within the areas.
