APC Names New Senate Leader

The All Progressives Congress has named the lawmaker representing Sokoto East Senatorial District, Abdullahi Gobir as the new Senate Leader.

This was contained in a letter signed by the National Chairman of the Party, Abdullahi Adamu, and read during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on Wednesday.

According to the letter, Gobir replaces Yahaya Abdullahi of Kebbi North Senatorial District following his resignation as Senate Leader after his defection from the APC to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
