Imo State government has charged Ministries, Departments and Agencies to block all revenue leakages to boost the state’s dwindling Internally Generated Revenue.
The State Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba gave the charge at the end of the weekly State Executive Council meeting.
Emelumba stated that the Executive was glad that the State will earn $11 million from the State fiscal transparency, accountability and sustainability programme of the World Bank because of the prudent and transparent implementation of her annual budget.
The Commissioner noted that the construction of the new Abattoir is in progress as the design and logistics for the take-off of the project are almost ready.
