Delta Police Rescues Pregnant Women From Baby Factory

Delta State Police Command has rescued three pregnant women from a baby factory.

According to a statement signed by the Command’s Spokesperson, Bright Edafe, two suspects were arrested during the raid in Okpanam area of the State.

The statement noted that the suspects are currently in custody while effort is on to arrest the other members of the syndicate.

Sri Lanka's parliament has accepted ousted president Gotabaya Rajapaksa's resignation. The country’s speaker of parliament, Mahinda Abeywardena, said he accepted Rajapaksa's resignation, which he received late on Thursday. Abeywardena has called for parliament to convene on Saturday to start the process of electing a new leader, meanwhile Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe has been sworn in as acting president. The former President quit after fleeing to Singapore amid mass protests over his mismanagement of the economy.
