Buhari Congratulates Super Falcons.

President Muhammadu Buhari congratulates Nigeria’s Female Football Team, the Super Falcons, for qualifying for the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 after their quarter-final victory at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, in Morocco.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari lauded the spirited performance of the team in the tournament and for maintaining its dominant posture as undisputed champions of the round-leather game.

The Super Falcons triumphed 1-0 over Cameroon on Thursday night.

Court Sentences Baba Ijesha to Prison

Lagos State Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court in Ikeja has convicted and sentenced Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha to 16 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor. In his judgement, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, convicted Baba Ijesha of four out of the six counts for which he was charged by the State government.
