NPC Begins Trial Census in Anambra

The National Population Commission says it will commence a trial census on Wednesday in Anambra State in preparation for the first fully digital census in 2023.

Federal Commissioner, representing the State, Chidi Ezeoke, while addressing newsmen in Awka, the State Capital said the exercise will take place in all the seven designated towns in Idemili South Local Government Area of the State.

Ezeoke noted that the exercise is a key preparatory activity for the main census slated for April 2023.

He added that the exercise would provide the Commission with the opportunity to test every aspect of census operations.
