INEC urges aggrieved Politicians to seek redress in Court

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has implored Politicians that are aggrieved over the conduct of the Primary election to seek redress in Court.

A statement issued by the Commission’s Spokesperson, Festus Okoye, noted that the Commission did not publish names of Candidates for the Akwa Ibom North West and Yobe North Senatorial Districts.

According to the statement, the Commission stands by the monitoring reports received from the State Offices.

Meanwhile, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and former Minister of Niger Delta affairs, Godswill Akpabio, were found to have been excluded from the INEC Published list.

Ganduje pardons inmates

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has pardoned 90 inmates as part of activities to mark the Sallah celebration. Ganduje effects their release during his visit to Gorondutse Correctional Centre in the State. According to him, the release is in compliance with President Muhammadu Buhari’s urge for decongestion of the Correctional Centres. The Governor assured that he would continue with the good work to 2023 when his administration ends.
