Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has expressed shock over the death of Ademola Popoola, a member representing Ibadan South-East Constituency II, in the State House of Assembly.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Assistant on Print Media, Moses Alao, Makinde described the death of Popoola as sad, painful, and a huge loss to the State.
The statement prayed God to grant repose to the soul of the late lawmaker, whom it noted contributed his best in the House toward the overall development of the State.
Recall that Popoola died on Tuesday evening at the University College Hospital Ibadan at the age of 45.
A Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed Thursday to deliver judgment in a suit seeking the disqualification of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State as the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the July 16 Governorship election. The presiding Judge, Inyang Ekwo fixed the date after counsel for the parties adopted their processes and presented their arguments in the matter.
