United States Probes 51 Deaths in Texas truck

Authorities in the United States have opened a criminal investigation into the deaths of at least 51 people who were trapped inside a sweltering Tractor-Trailer found abandoned in the City of San Antonio in Southern Texas.

United States Representative of Texas, Henry Cueller, who made this known, disclosed that the Driver of the Truck and two other person tied to the smuggling incident were taken into custody on Tuesday.

According to Cueller, the incident was one of the deadliest human trafficking tragedies along the US-Mexico border in recent history.

Court Fixes Date to Rule on Welfare of Judges

The National Industrial Court has fixed July 15 to determine the fate of a suit seeking an upward review of salaries and allowances of Judicial Officers in the Country. While ruling on the suit, the presiding Judge, Osatohanmeen Obaseki-Osaghae fixed the date for judgment after the parties in the matter argued and adopted their final written addresses.
