Ekweremadu sues NIMC over organ harvesting

Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice, have sued the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC and others over controversy surrounding the real age of David Ukpo.

In a suit filed by their Counsel, Adegboyega Awomolo, in a Federal High Court, in Abuja, Ekweremadus asked the court for an order directing the NIMC to supply them with the Certified True Copy of the biodata information of Ukpo.

Recall that Ekweremadu and his wife were remanded in the UK Police Custody for alleged conspiracy to facilitate the travel of Ukpo, alleged to be a minor, for organ harvesting.
