Kwara Confirms First Case of Monkey pox

Kwara State Government has confirmed its first case of Monkey Pox in the North-Central State.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Health, Raji Razaq.

According to the statement, the recorded case followed efforts of the surveillance and response team that was activated since the index case was reported in the Country in March 2022.

It implored members of the public to step up efforts at personal and community hygiene as it work together to fight this disease.
