The leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Romania have backed Ukraine’s bid to join the European Union, EU.
German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, said Ukraine belongs to the European family, and should be give immediate candidate status.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron assured that the 27-member EU would stand by Ukraine until its victory against Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, appealed for more heavy weapons to be sent urgently for Ukraine to be able to defend itself more effectively.
The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa, has pledged to work with the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Okowa, made the promise shortly after he was announced as the running mate to Atiku. The governor noted that he would join forces with the Presidential flag bearer of the party and other stakeholders to rescue Nigeria from the precipice.
