House of Representatives directs INEC to extend PVC registration

The House of Representatives has directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to extend Permanent Voters Card registration by 60 days.

The decision followed a motion moved by the member representing Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, Benjamin Kalu on Wednesday.

The House, however, mandated the Committee on Electoral Matters to engage INEC to proffer solutions to the shortage of registration machines and deploy additional 30 voter registration machines in each Local Government Area in the Country.
