House of Representative to Override Buhari on Section 84(8) of Electoral Act

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has declared that the House will consider a motion to override President Muhammadu Buhari on Section 84(8) of the Electoral Act.

Gbajabiamila stated this during plenary on Wednesday.

The Speaker directed Ben Igbakpa, a member of the House, to present a motion for the House to consider overriding the President since the 30 days window presented by the Constitution for a President to sign or decline assent has elapsed.
