Nigerian Navy Busts Illegal Crude Oil Market In Rivers

The Nigerian Navy has busted an illegal crude oil market in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers state.

The Commander, Nigeria Navy Ship, Sulaiman Ibrahim, disclosed that the feat was achieved following a ground and aerial operation code named “Operation Dakatar Da Barawo”.

Ibrahim noted that an unspecified amount of crude oil siphoned from a pipeline in the area was recovered.

The Commander added that the perpetrators escaped through the swamps on sighting the command’s operatives.
