World Bank ranks Lagos ports poorly amid collapse

The World Bank has ranked Lagos ports as 358th out of 370 ports assessed globally.

This is according to the latest Container Port Performance Index 2021 report.

According to the reports, the assessment was on ports with a minimum of 20 valid port calls within the 12-month period of the study.

Bangladesh Port fire claim lives

At least 49 people have been killed and more than 300 injured after a massive fire swept through a container depot in Southeastern Bangladesh. According to the Chittagong Chief Doctor, Elias Chowdhury, the fire broke out at a container facility on Saturday triggering multiple explosions. Chowdhury added that the number of fatalities is expected to rise as some of the injured are in critical condition
