Oyo government to regulate Okada Ecosystem

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has said commercial motorcycles, popularly known as Okada, will not be banned in the State.

On his Twitter handle, Makinde said his administration will rather regulate the Okada Ecosystem, identify them and criminals will be dealt with.

The Governor’s comment comes after neighbouring Lagos State banned motorcycles in parts of its State.

INEC bars CBN from keeping sensitive election materials

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said sensitive electoral materials will no longer be kept in the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. Chairman of the Commission, Mahmood Yakubu stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja. According to Yakubu, this decision is to guarantee that electoral materials for the lined up Elections are not compromised.
