Ohanaeze calls on Buhari to Save Nigeria’s democracy

The Youth Wing of Apex Igbo Socio-Cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has accused the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government of attempting to put the Country’s democracy in jeopardy.

A statement issued on Sunday by the President-General of the Organisation, Okwu Nnabuike disclosed that some persons who do not mean well for the country were ill-advising the President Muhammadu Buhari.

The statement noted that the President’s delay in the signing of the amended Electoral Act was not a good signal.

CBN denies plans to withdrawal naira notes from circulation

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has dismissed reports that it intends to replace the naira notes in circulation with digital currency, the eNaira, in due course. A statement issued by the CBN Director, Corporate Communication, Osita Nwanisobi disclosed that that the reports were false. The statement called on the general public to disregard the reports.
