The Chief of Army Staff, Faruk Yahaya has urged retired officers in 81 Division Nigerian Army, NA, not to rest on their oars until the security challenge in the country is brought to an end.
Yahaya, who was represented by the General Officer Commanding 81 Division NA, Umar Musa at the Regimental Dinner Night in honour of the Officers noted that the Army is open to their invaluable contributions towards attaining her constitutional mandate.
The Army Chief commended the retired Officers for the remarkable achievements they made while in active service to the Nation.
Kano State Police Command has intercepted a vehicle loaded with deadly explosive devices and sophisticated weapons in the State. A statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Kiyawa disclosed that the vehicle was intercepted following an intelligence report. The statement revealed that the suspects abandoned the vehicle following a hot chase.
