The All Progressives Congress, APC, has inaugurated Screening Committees for State House of Assembly aspirants across the 36 states of the federation.
The committee, inaugurated by APC Deputy National Chairman, North, Abubakar Kyari, is in charge of elections of the ward and state delegates that will elect governorship candidates and the presidential candidate of the party.
This comes two weeks before the conduct of the party’s primary elections slated for May 30 ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has called for the immediate release of the member representing Aguata 2 in the State House of Assembly, Okechukwu Okoye. A statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, condemned the abduction. The statement condoled with families who lost their loved ones and property as a result of the kidnap. Recall that Okoye and his Campaign Director were kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday.
