The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has thrown the contest for its presidential ticket open.
National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Debo Ologunagba, announced that the decision was part of the resolutions reached at the end of the 96th PDP National Executive Council meeting.
Ologunagba revealed that the Party’s NEC adopted a date for its presidential primary.
He added that the Party’s NEC assured of free, fair, credible, and transparent processes for the emergence of its candidates for all elective positions.

Uzodinma directs appointees with political ambition to resign

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has directed political appointees vying for elective positions in 2023 to resign before May 16. Uzodimma gave the directive at the expanded State Exco meeting on Wednesday. He directed such appointees to tender their resignation letters on or before the said date. This comes hours after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered Ministers seeking elective offices to resign on or before May 16.
