The Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has resigned from his position as a Minister of the federal republic.
Onu followed the directive of the President Muhammadu Buhari which asked all members of his cabinet vying for electoral offices to resign on or before May 16, 2022.
The order was announced during the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by the President in Abuja.
Recall that the minister had on May 6, 2022, declared for the presidency under the ruling All Progressives Congress.
