Political Parties seek extension of Primaries

Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, has appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to extend the timeline for the 2023 general elections by two months.
Chairman of IPAC, Yusuf Yabagi, made the appeal at a meeting of the electoral umpire and leaders of various Political Parties in Abuja.
Yabagi noted that the extension became necessary to help Political Parties to put things in order for the forthcoming general elections.
INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu maintained that the Commission would not review the existing timelines.
