Lagos government to demolish distress structures

Lagos State Government is set to demolish distressed structures following the spate of building collapse in the State.

State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Idris Salako made this known on Monday in his office while giving updates on the building collapse prevention plans by the State Government.

According to Salako, the government is committed to ensuring the security of lives and property.

The Commissioner urged residents to maintain vigilance of the environment and report any untoward developments through the Ministry or the State Government Communication Channels.

Fayemi appoints new SSG

Ekiti State Governor,  Kayode Fayemi has appointed Foluso Daramola as the new Secretary to the State Government, SSG. Fayemi made the announcement in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode on Monday. The statement noted that the Governor also appointed Tolu Ibitola, as his new Chief of Staff. It added that the two appointments are with immediate effect.
