INEC urges political parties to conduct primaries within time frame

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has given political parties till June 3 to conclude their primaries for the emergence of candidates for various elective positions.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the National Commissioner/Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, reminded political parties that its earlier scheduled timetable for activities of the 2023 general election has not changed.

The statement stressed that parties have one month to conclude their primaries.

ASURI calls off strike
