The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has given political parties till June 3 to conclude their primaries for the emergence of candidates for various elective positions.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the National Commissioner/Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, reminded political parties that its earlier scheduled timetable for activities of the 2023 general election has not changed.
The statement stressed that parties have one month to conclude their primaries.
The Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions has suspended its strike. The Union disclosed this in a letter signed by its Secretary-General, Theophilus Ndubuaku on Thursday. According to the letter, the suspension of the strike is with immediate effect.
