Explosion Rocks Oil Firm in Imo

An explosion at an oil firm in Izombe, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state, has claimed two lives.

Confirming the incident, the state police spokesman, Micheal Abattam, revealed that anti-bomb operatives from the command headquarters in Owerri had been drafted to the scene.

This comes less than two weeks after an explosion at an illegal refinery site at the Ohaji-Egbema LGA killed no fewer than 100 persons.
