Deputy Speaker decries rate of kidnapping in Plateau

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Idris Wase, has decried the rate of kidnapping in his constituency, in Plateau State.

Wase raised the alarm when a member of the House, Abdullahi Salame called for the establishment of a national task force to combat insecurity.

The deputy speaker, however, opposed the establishment of a new security outfit, noting that the existing ones should be allowed to discharge their duties.
