Italy Signs Agreement with Algeria.

Italy and Algeria have signed agreements to strengthen energy ties.

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi revealed that the deals were a significant step in Italy’s drive to reduce its dependency on Russian gas.

Draghi said the gas deal with Algeria had been signed by the two country’s dominant energy players.

The Prime Minister added that Italy was ready to work with Algeria to develop renewable energy and green hydrogen.

Wike Sympathizes with Family of Victims of Fire Incident

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has expressed sorrow over the deaths and injuries caused by a fire incident at the Bonny-Bille jetty. Wike said he was saddened to learn of the extensive damage to property caused by the unfortunate incident. The governor extended his deepest condolences to the families of those that lost their lives.
