Ssanu, Nasu extend strike

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, and Associated Institutions have extended their warning strike.
A circular jointly signed by SSANU President, Mohammed Ibrahim, and NASU General Secretary, Peters Adeyemi, disclosed that the strike action has been extended by two weeks.
The circular noted that the extension was as a result of federal government’s failure to act positively on the ongoing warning strike.
The non-academic workers had commenced a two-week warning strike on March 27 over the inability of the Federal Government to meet their demands.
