Edo government launches protection policy

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has unveiled the State Social Protection Policy to check social vices.
Obaseki, who was represented by the Commissioner for Social Development and Gender Issues, Maria Edeko, launched the policy at a town-hall meeting at the Government House.
He stated that the town-hall meeting was to deliberate on policies, programmes, and initiatives embarked upon to engender social development in State.
The governor added that the state government understands the huge task of protecting lives and property through the active support of all stakeholders.
