Mining Minister Calls for More Funding in Steel Sector

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite, has requested the National Assembly to allocate more funds for the steel sector.

Adegbite stated this during the 2022 budget defense before the House of Representatives Committee on Steel.

He said the funds would be used to create jobs for Nigerian youths and grow the country’s economy, adding that it will reduce dependence on oil as a major revenue earner for the country.
