Anambra Government calms fraying nerves over planned protest

Anambra State Government says it is aware of plans by some group of people to protest against plans to rig the November 6 gubernatorial election by a particular political party relying on the ‘Federal Might’.

A statement signed by the state’s commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba said the intelligence reports indicate that the party claims the result of the election will be written, in the comfort of the home of one of the supposed candidates in the election.

The statement advised the people to disregard the claims of the political party and its members, adding that the rigging of the forthcoming election is a foregone conclusion.
