Ayade Kicks Against Africa’s Dependence on Western Nations

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has kicked against the high dependence for food by African countries on western nations. Ayade made this known at the flagged off the first dry run for the 2022 Carnival Calabar, with the theme ‘Agro-Industrialization’. Speaking on the theme, the Governor said it was carefully chosen to send a message to the global community that Africans can depend on themselves for food.

Lagos Government Raises Awareness on Reduction of Burning Fuel Fossil

Lagos State Government has raised awareness on the need to have cleaner air through the reduction of the burning of fossil fuels. The General Manager of the State Environmental Protection Agency, Dolapo Fasawe, stated this during the ‘Sanwo Switch to Gas’ imitative in the State. According to Fasawe, the initiative is concerned about the health and environment of Lagosians and to encourage the use of cooking gas.

Bus Drivers Decry Extortion in Imo

Commercial Bus Drivers in Imo State have raised alarm over the outrageous and incessant extortion. Speaking with Boss Radio News, a motorist, Chuks Ohaka, who spoke in vernacular, says the extortion is becoming unnecessary from unknown persons. Ohaka, however, hands this piece of advice to the state government as regards curbing extortion by unknown persons.
