The United Kingdom has begun supplying Ukraine with anti-tank weapons to help it defend itself from a potential invasion.
Speaking in the British parliament on Monday, Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace said the UK had taken the decision to supply Ukraine with light anti-armour defensive weapon systems.
He noted that the weapons are strategic and pose no threat to Russia, adding that they are to be used in self-defence.
The developments came as Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov angrily rejected claims by the United States last week that Moscow was preparing a pretext to invade Ukraine if diplomacy failed to meet its objectives.
Ebonyi State Government has warned residents of the state against obeying the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. The State’s Commissioner for Markets and Parks, Nwachukwu Eze warned that residents who obey the sit-at-home would be punished. The Commissioner directed that all markets and parks in the state be opened for business or their leaders should be prepared to face severe punishment.
