Ukraine has reiterated its commitment to resisting Russian aggression as the country marks 1,000 days since the Kremlin launched its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ukrainian foreign ministry declared that Ukraine will never submit to the occupiers, and the Russian military will be punished for violating international law.

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to address a special session of the European Parliament via videolink from Kyiv later in the day.

Additionally, local media reports suggest Zelensky will unveil an internal resilience plan to Ukraine’s parliament on Tuesday, focusing on the nation’s continued resistance and recovery.

This follows US President Joe Biden’s decision to give Ukraine the green light to use long-range missiles supplied by the US to strike Russia on Monday.
