The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has criticized former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his comments on Nigeria’s recent elections.

The group also condemned his remarks directed at Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Okwu Nnabuike, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday, accusing the former president of laying the foundation for a flawed electoral system in the country.

He alleged that during the former president’s tenure, election results were announced even as voters were still on queues voting across Nigeria, noting that Obasanjo did not initiate any meaningful electoral reforms during his leadership which now yielded to what we currently have in our electoral system.
