President Trump appoints Tom Homan as US border czar

President-elect Donald Trump has reappointed Tom Homan, his former acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to serve as the new “border czar” in his administration.

Trump announced this on Sunday on Truth Social platform as Homan will be responsible for overseeing maritime and aviation security and coordinating the deportation of undocumented immigrants, aligning with Trump’s immigration agenda.

This appointment, which does not require Senate confirmation, was anticipated due to Homan’s extensive experience and Trump’s pledge to initiate the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.
