The Abia State Harmonized Task Force (ASHTF) has raised concerns over recent attacks on its members and the destruction of its vehicles by touts and other offenders in the state.

The Chairman of the Harmonized Task Force and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Uzor Nwachukwu, on Wednesday issued a statement condemning the violence and threats faced by task force personnel.

Nwachukwu warned that severe penalties would be enforced on anyone found assaulting task force members or damaging their property while emphasizing that offenders would face full legal prosecution with no option for fines, as a deterrent to further attacks.

The task force has declared that these incidents will no longer be tolerated, and all perpetrators will be held accountable under the full extent of the law.
