The Anambra State Government has confirmed its awareness of the deadly cult-related killings that occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2024, in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area.

In an official statement released on Monday, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, acknowledged the loss of lives and condemned the violence.

The statement from the Anambra State Government noted that it was aware of the incident and assured residents that decisive steps are being taken to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The government also called for calm among the community and encouraged residents to assist law enforcement with any information that could aid in the investigation, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining peace and security across the state.
