Doguwa charges Nigerian govt and NNPCL to revert old pump price

The House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) has called on the Federal Government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPCL) to reverse the recent fuel price increase.
The committee’s chairman, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, in a statement issued from Abuja, expressed disappointment with the fuel price hike, and criticized private companies for exploiting gaps in the system to make arbitrary profits at the expense of Nigerians.
He urged the Federal Government and the NNPCL to consider the hardship Nigerians are facing and suspend the recent pump price hike.
The committee also intends to collaborate closely with security agencies and community leaders to combat pipeline vandalism, ensuring the protection of critical oil infrastructure.
